I'm Amaury, SEOryon's founder, formerly a freelance then in-house SEO. A comparison signed by a vendor in the market should be read with that in mind; that's why the method is stricter than an affiliate blog's.

The competitor facts come exclusively from public pages captured on 17 July 2026: pricing pages, terms of sale, technical documentation, privacy policies, vendor case studies, and review platforms. No paid account was opened and no hands-on test was run: when I don't know, I write "not publicly documented," which doesn't mean the function is absent. The SEOryon facts come from an internal product sheet verified against the production code on the same date; I claim nothing about competitors that their own pages don't show. Vendor case studies prove a case was published, not causality. Review scores are volatile and dated. What you're really comparing: six products, three jobs

The first source of error in existing comparisons: homonyms and false equivalents.

These products don't all do the same job. All of them generate content; only two (MentionLab, BabyLoveGrowth) advertise AI citation tracking in their subscription; five (Outrank, MentionLab since 17 July 2026, BabyLoveGrowth, AutoSEO, RankPill) include a link exchange network; SEOryon does research, verified writing, and AI visibility auditing, and deliberately stays out of link exchanges.

Public prices and first year cost

Amounts displayed on 17 July 2026, as they stand: I don't convert euros and dollars into each other, and VAT is only noted where the vendor specifies it. The "apparent cost per article" is a division (price ÷ quota): it measures capacity, never quality.

Three contractual details change those totals: MentionLab charges €30 excl. VAT per month per additional language; Outrank charges per active site (published discounts of 10 to 20% depending on volume); SEOryon is billed monthly, with no annual commitment. And one piece of news illustrating how volatile these grids are: MentionLab revised its prices and terms on 17 July 2026 during the day. The Starter plan at €29 excl. VAT (5 articles) disappeared from the public pricing, the single plan went from €79 to €89 excl. VAT while rising to 30 articles, and the terms updated the same day confirm that €89 excl. VAT. The functions that change the decision

A grid limited to the discriminating functions. "Documented" refers to a public vendor page; "advertised" means the benefit is displayed with no verifiable public method; "not publicly documented" doesn't prove the function is absent. Two honest readings of this grid. First, on raw volume and breadth of integrations, Outrank is objectively the most substantial public file. Second, the SEOryon column is the only one I can vouch for from the inside; that's exactly why every competitor line is tied to its source, so the comparison stays auditable.

Producing for AI and measuring citations: two different jobs

Never confuse three levels: producing content formatted for AI search (all six claim it), detecting mentions or citations across a panel of questions, and attributing that visibility to traffic or revenue. None of the six publicly documents the third level; be wary of curves that imply it.

On the second level: MentionLab and BabyLoveGrowth advertise ChatGPT + Perplexity tracking in their plans, without publishing the question panel, repeats, country, or a definition of a "citation"; RankPill shows its "AI Visibility" function as forthcoming; I found no equivalent module at Outrank or AutoSEO. On the SEOryon side, the GEO/LLM audit asks real buyer questions in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity (four AI tools, no more), shows where your brand appears, and lets you see and edit the questions for the next audit; the dashboard also shows the visits that actually arrive from those four AI tools. Link networks: the exact mechanics, then the risk

Five of the six tools include an exchange network: your articles host outbound links to other clients, and you receive links in return. The units vary and aren't interchangeable:

1. The same brief, the same sector, the same language everywhere; 3 to 5 articles per tool.
2. Count the verifiable facts per article, the errors, the sources cited, and their state (test every external link).
3. Time the actual review per article: that's your real unit cost, add it to the advertised price.
4. Test publishing: draft or live, metadata, images, updating an existing article, preservation of your edits.
5. For the link networks: ask to see the placements before publication, the attribute, the domain, and its traffic; note what you're told.

Which one tracks citations in ChatGPT and Perplexity?
